Through the collaboration between the Bank of Georgia and the Georgian Technical University, motivated students with leadership qualities have the opportunity to participate in the Bank of Georgia’s scholarship programs.
The Bank of Georgia Scholarship covers one-year full or partial funding for studies in the most in-demand modern specialties. It is noteworthy that the program is not a one-time initiative; students have the opportunity to earn the scholarship every year through their dedication and determination.
Additionally, for students in the bachelor’s program in Architecture, there is the well-known “Giorgi Chakhava Scholarship”, named after the famous Georgian architect.
In Georgia, there is a program called “State Scholarships for Students” for high-achieving students. The scholarships are awarded semester by semester at state universities and amount to 150 GEL per month. The funding comes from the state budget, while the eligibility criteria for receiving the scholarship are determined by each university.
The Georgian Technical University (GTU) also participates in this program.
At GTU, scholarships are awarded to bachelor’s students in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years who have a high ranking based on their semester results (the maximum ranking points vary each year). Recipients are selected by competition committees established by the faculty dean’s order.
In addition to the “State Scholarships for Students” program, GTU also offers faculty-named scholarships. A student may receive a named scholarship alongside a state scholarship, provided they meet all criteria according to the competition rules.
The Niko Nikoladze Faculty Scholarship aims to financially encourage motivated, study-focused, and successful students.
The scholarship is awarded to a high-achieving student of the Faculty of Business Technologies who has a high ranking based on semester results (above 91% in all subjects) and actively participates in various conferences, workshops, and trainings, as well as in GTU’s management-related activities.
The scholarship amounts to 100 GEL per month for 5 months.
The David Sarajishvili Faculty Scholarship aims to financially encourage motivated, study-focused, and successful students.
The scholarship is awarded to a high-achieving student of the Faculty of Business Technologies who has a high ranking based on semester results (above 91% in all subjects) and actively participates in various conferences, workshops, and trainings, as well as in GTU’s management-related activities.
The scholarship amounts to 100 GEL per month for 5 months.
The Akaki Khoshtaria Faculty Scholarship aims to financially encourage motivated, study-focused, and successful students from Poti.
The scholarship is awarded to a high-achieving student of the Faculty of Business Technologies who has a high ranking based on semester results (above 91% in all subjects) and actively participates in various conferences, workshops, and trainings, as well as in GTU’s management-related activities.
The scholarship amounts to 100 GEL per month for 5 months.
The Presidential Scholarship named after Zviad Gamsakhurdia, the first President of Georgia, is awarded to a high-achieving student of the Faculty of Law and International Relations who has a high ranking based on semester results (above 91%) and actively participates in various conferences, workshops, and trainings.
The scholarship amounts to 150 GEL per month for 9 months.
The scholarship program of RMG, the largest mining company in the South Caucasus, aims to identify and support motivated, study-focused students in engineering fields.
The RMG Scholarship is available to students in bachelor’s (2nd–4th year), master’s, or doctoral programs from the following faculties: Mining Geology and Sustainable Mountain Development; Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies; Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering; Power Engineering; Informatics and Control Systems.
Scholarship recipients are selected by members of the faculty committee through a two-stage competition process.
The scholarship amounts to 300 GEL per month for one year.
The “Green Scholarships” program is implemented under the project “Reducing the Risk of Climate Change-Induced Disasters in Georgia”, which is funded by the Government of Georgia, the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and the Governments of Sweden and Switzerland, and is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The “Green Scholarship” is awarded to an outstanding master’s student enrolled in environmental programs at GTU or in related master’s programs such as Water Engineering, Geology, Energy, Environmental Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, and Forestry.
The scholarship amounts to 1,500 GEL (one-time award).
The Tamaz Bekaia Educational Foundation focuses on promoting and supporting educational fields essential for the country’s successful development.
The scholarship is available to students with high academic achievement from the following faculties:
- Faculty of Construction
- Faculty Of Architecture, Urbanism and Design
- Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies
- Faculty of Mining Geology and Sustainable Mountain Development
The scholarship is awarded monthly and amounts to 300 GEL.
The foundation also awards a one-time scholarship of 1,500 GEL to the highest-ranking first-year student based on the results of the national exams.
