In 2022, on the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Georgian Technical University, the brand's visual identity was updated - the GTU logo and coat of arms were changed.
A new brand has been created for a university with 100 years of teaching experience, which has the ambition to bring conservative and academic approaches into harmony with modernity.
As a result of the rebranding, the abbreviation of the university's name "STU" was chosen as the GTU logo.
The coat of arms of the Georgian Technical University represents one of the characteristic fragments of the historical building of the Georgian Technical University – a column, which symbolizes the power of acquiring knowledge, and the book depicted on it refers to the process of acquiring education. The coat of arms contains the main motto of the Georgian Technical University SCIENTIA POTESTAS EST (Knowledge is power) and the year of the university’s foundation – 1922!
The new color of the Georgian Technical University is purple – the color of technology, discoveries, and innovations, which is associated with rich imagination and creativity.
