Joint grant competition
For the attention of participants of the joint competition announced by LEPL Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and the Ukrainian Center for Science and Technology!
LEPL Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, within the framework of the Targeted Research and Development Initiative Program, announces a grant competition, which is jointly funded by the Rustaveli National Science Foundation and the Ukrainian Center for Science and Technology. In this project, the Rustaveli National Science Foundation and the Ukrainian Center for Science and Technology will identify the following priorities from the scientific directions:
a) Biotechnology and life sciences;
b) new materials and nanotechnologies;
c) Information and communication technologies.
According to the terms of the competition:
• At least 50% of the key personnel participating in the project must be scientists who have previously participated in the creation of weapons of mass destruction.
• A prerequisite for participation in the competition is the participation of at least one (preferably 2 or more) collaborators in the project from the MTSU funding parties: the USA, Canada, and European Union countries.
• The project requires the participation of a lead organization.
• Preference will be given to projects that are presented by several research groups/organizations and that are interdisciplinary in nature.
• The same person may not participate as a scientific supervisor or key personnel in more than one project submitted to the 2015 competition for state scientific grants announced within the framework of the “Targeted Research and Development Initiatives Program”. Georgian Technical University has been allocated a quota of 16 places to participate in the competition. Due to the limited number of nominations, an internal university competition is being held to identify projects to be presented, for which the projects of the competition nominees will be considered from March 24 to April 3. The presentation regulations are 10 minutes.
Applications for participation in the internal university competition will be accepted by the GTU Science Department (room 354 of the GTU Administrative Building) until March 20 of this year.
