An open competition has been announced to fill scientific positions

The Scientific Council of the “Talga” Institute of the Georgian Technical University announces an open competition to fill the following scientific position:

• Scientific-Technical Department

• Research Fellow – 1.0 full-time position

Applications will be accepted from October 2, 2025 – October 6, 2025, from 10:00 to 17:00, at the address: 5 Zurab Anjaparidze St., “Talga” Institute, 6th floor, room №622. Responsible person: Valerian Vachadze, Tel: 599 145 413.

The competition will take place on October 8, 2025. The preliminary results of the competition will be published no later than October 8, 2025, in a prominent place by the competition commission and on the institute’s website.

Applications/complaints regarding violations of the competition procedure will be accepted by the competition commission until October 13, 2025.

Additional information for applicants (application form, declaration, time and place of the interview) will be published on the institute’s website.

II. Competition Requirements

Main conditions of the competition:
ა) A Research Fellow position can be held by a person who has a master’s or equivalent academic degree.

A person is elected to the position of Research Fellow for a term of 5 years.

Applicants must personally (or through a representative) submit:
ა) A properly completed and signed application and form (forms will be published on the institute’s website), along with supporting documentation: diploma, certificate, letter, reference, etc. (original and copy);
ბ) Document confirming scientific/academic degree (original and copy);
გ) Documents confirming scientific-research experience (internship) certified by the relevant organization/institution stamp;
დ) List of scientific and educational-methodological works, certified by the relevant institution/organization or a competent person of its structural unit with signature and stamp (if applicable);
ე) Identity document (original and copy);
ვ) Two photos 3X4;
ზ) Certificate of no criminal record for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability, and certificate regarding deprivation of rights.

Note: Persons who have already submitted these certificates to the university’s Human Resources Management and Administration Service are exempt.

III. Competition Procedure

• The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Law of Georgia on “Higher Education,” the university regulations, and the “Regulations on the Admission of Scientific Staff to the Talga Institute,” which the applicant will review at the competition commission, and on the university and institute websites.

• The competition commission will consider: the applicant’s qualifications and competence corresponding to the position, including relevant scientific-research, practical, and other activities, achievements, qualifications, experience, and merits; and, at the commission’s discretion, the results of the interview(s) conducted with the applicant(s).

• Competition results may be appealed in court in accordance with applicable legislation.
