2013 Competition for State Scientific Grants for Scientific Research Internships of Young Scientists Abroad

The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation has announced the “2013 Competition for State Scientific Grants for Scientific Research Internships of Young Scientists Abroad”. The goal of the grant competition for scientific research internships of young scientists abroad is to select and finance young scientists, who will be given the opportunity to undergo internships in leading scientific centers abroad, based on the evaluation of independent experts.

The competition will support the scientific and research activities of young scientists, improve their professional qualifications, establish international scientific contacts and gain experience. The following are eligible to participate in the competition: a citizen of Georgia not older than 40 years of age, permanently residing in Georgia, who speaks English or the state language of the country where the young scientist plans to do his internship, is engaged in scientific and research activities at authorized higher educational institutions of Georgia, has a doctorate or an equivalent scientific degree, or is a resident or doctoral student.

The maximum duration of the grant project is 8 months. The scientific research internship must be completed no later than August 1, 2014. The grant funding requested from the fund must not exceed 20,000 GEL. Electronic registration of projects will be possible until 24:00 on May 29, 2013.

For electronically registered projects, the application for participation in the competition must be submitted to the Foundation no later than 6:00 PM on June 5, 2013.
