Literary competition for students

The Nikoloz Baratashvili House Museum of Tbilisi, Tbilisi Cultural Events Center announces the 7th literary competition for students “Short Prose”.

As stated by the museum management, the contestant must submit recent works that have not been published in literary periodicals: short story, novella, essay, sketch (not including posting on literary websites). 1 or 2 works in A4 format. Each no more than 8-10 printed pages in 4 copies, as well as an electronic version of the work.

The competition will be held from February 10 to May 15, 2014. The deadline for submitting works is May 10; on May 15, the winners will be awarded with I, II, III cash prizes, various nominations, a certificate and a commemorative gift. The winning works will be published in the magazines “Literary Palette” and “Our Writing”.

This year, an exception will be made for contestants who are working on publications. Their writings will also be reviewed by the jury.

Contest prose works should be sent by e-mail to  n.baratashvili_museum@yahoo.com  and submitted in 4 copies to the N. Baratashvili House-Museum in Tbilisi by May 10, 2014. Address: Chakhrukhadze St.@17 Tel: 2990699, 593148125 (except Sunday-Monday).

Along with the works, the competition participant must submit a student ID card or other document confirming student status and contact information: name, surname, address, telephone number; name of higher education institution, faculty, course.
