Georgian Technical University announces a university competition in the research-application nomination
For the purpose of implementing the “Unified Automated Management System of the Georgian Technical University”
I. Deadlines for receiving competition applications (projects) and conducting the competition
The Competition Commission will accept additional information and applications (projects) from those wishing to participate in the competition from May 27 to June 20, 2013, every day (except holidays and weekends), from 1000 to 1500.
The competition will be held until June 30, 2013. The results of the competition will be published by the competition commission on June 25, 2013 on the university website: www.gtu.ge. The contract with the winning project manager will be signed from July 1, 2013.
II. Competition conditions
Main requirement. “The Unified Automated Management System of the Georgian Technical University” is an information-analytical system for managing the organizational, educational, scientific and other processes of the university. It should allow for a comprehensive solution of operational and long-term tasks facing the university using a systematic approach. All issues directly or indirectly related to educational and scientific processes should be covered by automation in the field of management.
As a result of the system implementation:
- The level of compliance with the requirements of normative documents in conducting processes at the university will be increased;
- Issues related to organizational, financial, educational, and scientific processes will be simplified and made transparent;
- Management issues will be simplified and perfected;
- Material costs will be reduced.
The competition application (project) must include:
- The contestant’s experience, annotations of completed projects;
- The concept of system construction and operation;
- A plan for formalizing (establishing tasks) the issues to be resolved through the system;
- A realistic and justified calendar plan for solving the task.
The system should be implemented in stages and should be fully completed within 18 months. The Competition Commission established by the Order of the Georgian Technical University of May 8, 2013, No. 85
