The Scientific Council of the Tsotne Mirtkhulava Water Management Institute at Georgian Technical University announces an open competition

The competition is announced for the following scientific positions:

• Department of Seas and Reservoirs:

Researcher – 0.5 staff position

• Department of Irrigation and Drainage:

Senior Researcher – 0.5 staff position

• Applications will be accepted from April 29, 2024, to May 1, 2024, between 10:00 and 17:00, at the following address: Tbilisi, I. Chavchavadze Avenue N60B, 2nd Floor, Room N232, Tsotne Mirtkhulava Water Management Institute. Contact person: Marine Mgebrelishvili, Tel: 579 08 95 79.

• The competition will be held on May 3, 2024. Preliminary results will be published no later than May 3, 2024, in a prominent place by the competition commission and on the institute’s website.

• Complaints regarding violations of the competition procedure will be accepted by the competition commission until May 10, 2024.

• Additional information for applicants (application form, statement, interview time and place) will be published on the institute’s website.

II. Competition Conditions

Main conditions of the competition:

• The position of Senior Researcher can be held by a person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

• The position of Researcher can be held by a person with a master’s or equivalent academic degree.

• The term of office for the position of Researcher (Senior Researcher, Researcher) is 5 years.

• Applicants must personally (or through a representative) submit:

a) A properly completed and signed application and form (forms will be published on the institute’s website), along with supporting documentation: diploma, certificate, proof, award, letter, etc. (original and copy);

b) Proof of scientific/academic qualification (original and copy);

c) Documents confirming research experience (stages), certified by the appropriate organization/institution with seal;

d) A list of scientific and teaching-methodological works, certified by the relevant institution/organization or the competent person of its structural unit with signature and seal (if applicable);

e) Identification document (original and copy);

f) Two photographs 3X4;

g) Certificate of no criminal record regarding sexual freedom and integrity violations, and information on any revoked rights.

Note: Persons who have already submitted these documents to the University’s Human Capital Management Department are exempt from providing them again.

III. Competition Procedure

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, university regulations, and the “Procedure for Recruitment of Scientific Personnel of the Tsotne Mirtkhulava Water Management Institute,” which the candidate will be familiarized with at the competition commission, university, and institute websites;

The competition commission will take into account: the candidate’s qualifications and competence relevant to the competition position, including scientific-research, practical, and other activities, achievements, qualifications, experience, and merits corresponding to the competition position; as well as (at the discretion of the commission) the results of interviews conducted with the candidate(s);

The results of the competition may be appealed in court in accordance with current legislation.
