The Scientific Council of the Vladimir Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics at Georgian Technical University announces an open competition
The competition is announced for filling the following scientific positions:
· Department of Elements of Computing Technology and Nanomaterials:
Senior Researcher – 0.5 staff position
Researcher – 0.5 staff position
· Nanocomposites Laboratory:
Senior Researcher – 0.5 staff position
Researcher – 1 staff position
· Department of Optically Controlled Anisotropic Systems:
Chief Researcher – 1 staff position
Researcher – 1 staff position
· Laboratory of Thermo- and Photochromic Structures:
Senior Researcher – 2 staff positions
Senior Researcher – 0.5 staff position
Applications will be accepted from March 13, 2024, to March 15, 2024, between 10:00 and 17:00 at the following address: Tbilisi, Zurab Anjaparidze Street N5 (formerly Sandro Euli Street), Vladimir Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics, first floor, room N130. Contact phone: 598 42 98 33.
The competition will be held on March 19, 2024. Preliminary results will be published no later than March 20, 2024, in a prominent place by the competition commission and on the institute’s website:

Complaints regarding violations of the competition procedure will be accepted by the competition commission until March 25, 2024.

II. Competition Conditions
Main conditions of the competition:
a) The position of Chief Researcher may be held by a person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree and at least 6 years of research experience;
b) The position of Senior Researcher may be held by a person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree;
c) The position of Researcher may be held by a person with a master’s or equivalent academic degree.
A person is elected to the position of Researcher (Chief Researcher, Senior Researcher, Researcher) for a term of 5 years.
Applicants wishing to participate in the competition must personally (or through a representative) submit:
a) A properly completed and signed application and questionnaire (forms will be published on the institute’s website
https://cybernetics.ge/), along with documentation confirming the information provided: diploma, certificate, testimonial, award, reference, etc. (original and copy);
b) A document confirming scientific/academic degree (original and copy);
c) Documents confirming scientific research experience (length of service), certified by the appropriate organization/institution with a seal;
d) A list of scientific and teaching-methodological works, certified by the relevant institution/organization or by a competent person of its structural unit with signature and seal (if applicable);
e) Identification document (original and photocopy);
f) Two photographs 3×4;
g) Certificate of no criminal record for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability and a certificate regarding deprivation of rights.
Note: A person who has already submitted these certificates to the University’s Human Capital Management Department is exempt from submitting them again.
III. Competition Procedure
The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, the university regulations, and the “Procedure for Recruitment of Scientific Personnel of the Vladimir Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics,” with which the candidate will become familiar at the competition commission and on the university and institute websites.
The competition commission will take into account the candidate’s qualifications and competence relevant to the competition position, including scientific research, practical and other activities, achievements, qualifications, experience, and merits corresponding to the profile of the competition position; as well as (by decision of the commission) the results of interviews conducted with the candidate(s).
The results of the competition may be appealed in court in accordance with current legislation.
