The Scientific Council of the Vladimir Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics of Georgian Technical University announces an open competition for the following scientific positions:
- Department of Optically Controlled Anisotropic Systems: Senior Researcher – 1 full-time position
- Department of Optically Controlled Anisotropic Systems: Researcher – 1 full-time position
- Nanocomposites Laboratory: Researcher – 1 full-time position
Applications will be accepted from February 24 to February 26, 2025, from 10:00 to 17:00 at: Tbilisi, Zurab Anjaparidze Street №6, First Lane (former Sandro Euli Street), Vladimir Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics, 1st floor, Room №130. Contact person: Giorgi Mumladze, Tel.: 598 42 98 33.
The competition will take place on February 28, 2025. Preliminary results of the competition will be published no later than February 28, 2025, at a prominent place by the competition commission and on the institute’s website.
Applications/complaints regarding violations of the competition procedure will be accepted by the competition commission until March 5, 2025. Additional information for applicants (applicant form, application, interview time and place) will be published on the institute’s website.
II. Competition Conditions
Main conditions of the competition:
a) The position of Senior Researcher can be held by a person who has a Doctoral or equivalent academic degree;
b) The position of Researcher can be held by a person who has a Master’s or equivalent academic degree.
The term of office for the positions of Researcher (Senior Researcher, Researcher) is 5 years.
Applicants must personally (or through a representative) submit:
a) A properly completed and signed application and form (forms are published on the institute’s website), along with supporting documentation of the information provided: diploma, certificate, letter of verification, award, certificate, etc. (original and copy);
b) Document verifying the scientific/academic degree (original and copy);
c) Document(s) confirming scientific-research experience (tenure), certified by the relevant organization/institution’s seal;
d) List of scientific and teaching-methodological works, certified by the relevant institution/organization or by a competent person of its structural unit (if available);
e) Identity document (original and copy);
f) 2 photographs, 3X4 cm;
g) Certificate of no criminal record for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability and certificate of non-deprivation of rights.
Note: Submission of certificates is waived for persons who have already submitted them to the University’s Human Capital Management Department.
III. Competition Procedure
- The competition is conducted in accordance with the Law of Georgia “On Higher Education,” the university charter, and the “Rules for Hiring Scientific Personnel at the Vladimir Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics,” which the applicant can review at the competition commission, the university, and the institute’s websites.
- The competition commission will consider: the applicant’s qualifications and competence in relation to the position, including scientific-research, practical, and other activities, achievements, qualifications, experience, and merits relevant to the position; as well as (at the commission’s discretion) the results of an interview with the applicant(s).
- Competition results can be appealed in court according to the applicable legislation.
