The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announces the 2017 competition for state scientific grants for fundamental research.

The aim of the competition for state scientific grants for fundamental research is to promote the creation of new knowledge, theoretical and experimental study and analysis of new ideas and concepts, phenomena and facts, theories and models. The research to be funded does not require direct commercial benefit, but in the long term it must constitute the basis for socio-political, public, cultural and/or technical progress.

One or more organizations, along with key project personnel, can register a project for the competition and participate in the competition.

Competition administration schedule:

• June 16, 2017 – Announcement of the competition;

• June 19, 2017 – Start of electronic registration of projects;

• June 23, 4:00 PM – Group Consultation No. 1 –  Registration Form ;

• June 30, 4:00 PM – Group Consultation No. 2 –  Registration Form ;

• July 7, 4:00 PM – Group Consultation No. 3 –  Registration Form ;

• July 14, 4:00 PM – Completion of electronic registration of projects (deadline);

• July 19, 4:00 PM – Deadline for submitting applications for participation in the competition to the Foundation’s Chancellery.

Registration for the competition is carried out in two stages:

• Electronic registration of the project in the electronic database of the competition – from June 19, 2017 to July 14, 16:00.

• Registration at the Foundation’s Chancellery – Submission of applications for participation in the competition to the Foundation’s Chancellery – until 16:00 on July 19, 2017.
