In accordance with Article 29 of the Law of Georgia on “Higher Education,” Article 21 of the Charter of the University approved by the Order №133/n of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia on September 9, 2013, and Articles 2(9), 24, 25, and 26 of the “Regulation on the Conduct of Elections of the Governing Bodies of Georgia Technical University and its Faculties,” based on the decision of the Faculty Council of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design at its meeting on December 2, 2024 (Minutes №5):

1. Elections for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design shall be held on February 3, 2025.

2. The Dean of the Faculty shall be elected by the Faculty Council for a term of 4 years. The same person may be elected Dean consecutively no more than twice.

3. The position of Faculty Dean may be held by a person who meets the following requirements:
a) is a Professor or Associate Professor of the Faculty;
b) holds an academic degree in the qualification of Architecture.

4. Candidates must submit their application and accompanying documents to the Faculty Election Commission from January 13 to January 27, 2025, at: Tbilisi, Kostava Street 68, GTU First Building, 4th Floor, Room №402. Applications are accepted from 10:00 to 17:00, except on weekends and public holidays.

5. The application must include:
a) a copy of an identity document (ID card or passport);
b) a certificate confirming the candidate’s academic position at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design of the Technical University;
c) curriculum vitae (CV);
d) a copy of the diploma confirming the academic degree in Architecture;
e) an action plan.

6. Public presentation of the candidates’ action plans to the Faculty Council of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design shall be held on January 29, 2025.

7. The Academic Council, by a qualified majority (2/3), through a secret ballot, individually decides on the participation of persons aged 65 and over in competitions for administrative positions. Such persons must additionally submit the Academic Council’s consent to the Faculty Election Commission. Interested candidates must apply to the Academic Council by December 28, 2024, through the University Office of Procedures (address: 77 Kostava Street, Administrative Building, 2nd Floor).

Attendance of the person at the Academic Council during the discussion of their matter is mandatory; otherwise, the issue will not be considered.

8. The elections shall be conducted in accordance with the university-wide “Regulation on the Conduct of Elections of the Governing Bodies of Georgia Technical University and its Faculties.”
