Announcement on the Appointment of Elections for the Position of Head of the University Quality Assurance Service

According to the Resolution №01-05-04/17 of the Academic Council of the LEPL – Georgian Technical University dated February 7, 2025:

1. Elections for the position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service of Georgian Technical University are to be scheduled for March 7, 2025.

2. Registration of candidates participating in the elections will take place from February 21 to February 28, 2025.

3. The presentation of candidates’ action plans will be held at the Academic Council on March 6, 2025.

4. Eligibility to participate in the elections requires the candidate to meet the following criteria:

a) Possess a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification;

b) Have at least 4 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience;

c) Have at least 4 years of experience in a managerial position;

d) Be under 65 years of age.

5. The candidate must submit the following documents to the Election Commission:

a) Original and copy of the document confirming a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification;

b) Document confirming work experience;

c) Curriculum Vitae (CV);

d) Original and copy of an identity document;

e) Action plan;

f) Medical-narcological examination certificate;

g) Certificate of criminal record regarding crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability and certificate of deprivation of rights;

h) 1 photograph (size 3×4 cm).

6. Applications are accepted at the Secretariat of the University Election Commission, Tbilisi, Kostava 77, Administrative Building, 2nd floor, Room 233. Applications are accepted from 10:00 to 17:00, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

7. According to the University Charter, the Academic Council individually decides by qualified majority (2/3) and secret ballot on the eligibility of persons aged 65 and older to hold an administrative position. Such a person must additionally submit the Academic Council’s consent to the University Election Commission. Interested persons must apply to the Academic Council by February 18, 2025, through the University Administration Department (address: Kostava 77, Administrative Building, 2nd floor). Attendance of the person at the Academic Council during the consideration of their case is mandatory; otherwise, the issue will not be considered.
