The purpose of the Bachelor’s degree programme in metallurgy is to provide students with knowledge in metallurgy: ferrous metals, alloys, namely: cast iron, steels (ordinary carbonaceous, high-quality, alloyed, stainless and other types of special steels), ferroalloys-ferromanganese, ferrosilicon, ferrochrome – ferrovanadium; non-ferrous metals and materials, in particular: heavy, light, noble, rare metals and their alloys in metallurgy; secondary metals in metallurgy – processing and disposal of scrap and industrial waste; calculation and design of thermal characteristics and design of metallurgical furnaces.
