Annual Study Scholarships of the Government of Romania for Foreign Citizens

The Government of Romania announces annual study scholarships for foreign citizens.

The scholarships are awarded for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral studies at accredited higher education institutions in Romania, in all fields except medicine, dental medicine, and pharmacy.

Beneficiaries of Bachelor’s and Master’s scholarships will study only in the Romanian language. Doctoral scholarship holders may choose to study in Romanian or in a foreign language specified by the host institution.

Before the start of studies, students are offered a one-year Romanian language preparatory course, except for doctoral scholarship holders who choose a foreign language specified by the host institution.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation in university dormitories, and a monthly financial allowance (including during the preparatory year).

Interested candidates may submit their applications through the dedicated platform Study in Romania. Applicants can access the platform via the “Apply for MFA scholarships” button on the website or directly through the electronic link.
