Biography
Tamar Lominadze was born on July 3, 1971.
Education
Graduated from Georgian Technical University with a degree in Engineer-System Technician.
Scientific degree and rank
Holds the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (equivalent to Doctor). She is a professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, Georgian Technical University.
Work experience
Professor Lominadze has extensive experience in managing the educational field and in decision-making positions:
From 2005 to 2008, she served as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems at the university, and since 2013, she has been a full Professor of the same faculty.
In 2020, she worked as an advisor to the university rector on international relations, public relations, and scientific matters.
Since 2020, she has been an expert at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE).
From 2020 to 2021, Tamar Lominadze served as an advisor to the rector of Georgian Technical University.
Since 2021, she has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems.
Since 2023, she has participated in the activities of the Erasmus+ National Office and the Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE) under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
Professor Tamar Lominadze has rich experience in coordinating international and local scientific projects, including those under the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and international financial organizations.
She collaborates closely with leading international educational and research institutions and participates in numerous international scientific conferences and symposiums.
As Vice-Rector, Tamar Lominadze is responsible for coordinating and developing the university’s scientific activities, supporting research projects and academic initiatives; her work significantly contributes to deepening the university’s international cooperation, enhancing its scientific potential, and integrating it into the global academic community.
Tamar Lominadze is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers, monographs, and textbooks. Her research interests include information technologies, artificial intelligence, control systems, e-learning, and modern educational technologies. Her works are published in both Georgian and international scientific journals and are presented at international conferences and scientific forums.
