Eszterházy Károly Catholic University – Eger Summer University 2026

Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (Eszterházy Károly Catholic University) (Eger, Hungary) announces admission to two educational programs of the Summer University, which will be held from June 29 to July 10, 2026, in the historic city of Eger, Hungary.

The programs are organized by the University’s Center for Foreign Language Teaching and Services and aim to provide international participants with in-depth knowledge of the Hungarian language, culture, and wine traditions.

1) Summer University of Hungarian Language and Culture

This program is a two-week intensive course where participants will study the Hungarian language and culture under highly qualified instructors with extensive experience working with international students. The curriculum includes cultural excursions and social events, creating an effective and inspiring learning environment.

2) Summer University of Wine Culture and Wine Gastronomy

This program is designed for individuals interested in wine, gastronomy, and culture. The course combines academic knowledge and practical experience, including the basics of viticulture and winemaking, study of the history of the Eger wine region, wine tastings, vineyard visits, and gastronomic events.

Eger is renowned for its Baroque architecture, rich cultural heritage, and world-recognized wine culture.

Applications for scholarships under the Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Program must be submitted online by February 27, 2026, 17:00 CET.

Participation in the Summer University programs is also possible without a scholarship. In this case, applicants can register online using the following forms:
