European Forum Alpbach (EFA) – 26th European Forum and Scholarship Program

The annual European Forum Alpbach (EFA) is planned to be held in Alpbach (Austria) from August 24 to September 6, 2026, within the framework of which   applications for the scholarship program have begun.

The event brings together young professionals, scholars, politicians, and leaders to engage in interdisciplinary discussions on the most pressing issues in Europe.

This year’s theme of the forum is “How Europe Wins”, which covers four main areas:

• Democracy and the rule of law

• Security

• Climate

• Finance and Economics The scholarship covers participation fees and accommodation costs.

Additional support (meals, transportation, special needs, etc.) may be requested when completing the application. The allocation of such support depends on the availability of appropriate financial resources.

Young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who have at least B2 level English and are able to physically attend the full forum program can participate.
