TRUSTFOOD Project – Scientific Course “Strengthening Food Supply Chain Integrity – The Role of Blockchain in Traceability”
On November 4–5, 2025, in Wageningen (Netherlands), within the framework of the TRUSTFOOD project, the scientific course “Strengthening Food Supply Chain Integrity – The Role of Blockchain in Traceability” is planned.
The interactive course is intended for doctoral students. Participants will receive information about the capabilities of blockchain in the agri-food chain, will learn about food supply chain integrity, including the fundamental principles of traceability systems and their implementation in food supply chains. They will master the main operating principles of blockchain technology and its potential to improve traceability mechanisms. Through practical examples and assignments from the food sector, participants will receive information about the design, development, and application of blockchain-based traceability systems, which will provide them with the knowledge to effectively integrate this technology into real scenarios.
