Student Summer Program in Switzerland – 2026

From July 13 to September 13, 2026, a student summer program in particle physics will take place in Switzerland. Applications are open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students.

The program is organized by the particle physics groups of ETH Zurich, University of Zürich, EPFL, University of Geneva, and University of Bern. The event is supported by the Swiss Institute of Particle Physics (CHIPP) and the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT).

The program allows students to work on detector development or conduct data analysis in particle physics. Selected students will contribute to upgrades of various detectors and/or the analysis of data using machine learning techniques. Students will spend nine weeks at ETH Zurich, University of Zürich, University of Bern (possibly FERMILAB), EPFL, and University of Geneva.

The application deadline is March 20.
