Laboratory for Physico-Chemical Research of Oil and Natural Gas

The laboratory primarily performs the following tasks:

1. Determination of the competent composition of gas by chromatographic methods (organic and inorganic components);

2. Determination of the high and low calorific value (heat of combustion) of natural gas by calculation, for normal and standard samples;

3. Determination of the density of natural gas by the pycnometric method;

4. Determination of the density of natural gas by calculation for normal and standard conditions;

5. Determination of the relative density of natural gas by calculation for normal and standard conditions;

6. Determination of the high and low Wobbe index values for normal and standard conditions;

7. Determination of hydrogen sulfide in natural gas;

8. Determination of mercaptan sulfur in natural gas;

9. Determination of odor intensity in natural gas;

10. Determination of mechanical impurities in natural gas.
