Within the “Learn and Get a Job” Program Framework, the Best Students of Professional Courses Were Awarded Certificates
Successful students of the technical profile full professional courses at GTU – “Air Conditioning Specialist”, “Video Surveillance Systems Technician”, and “Renewable Energy Sources Equipment Installation Assistant (Installation of Solar Photovoltaic and Thermal Systems)” – were awarded the corresponding certificates.
The certificates were given by Professor Zurab Gudavadze, President of the Supervisory Board of the Georgian Technical University, Associate Professor Rati Gurgenidze, Advisor to the Rector, Associate Professor Boris Gitolendia, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering, Associate Professor Taliko Zhvania, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, and Professor Ketevan Kutateladze, Dean of the Faculty of Power Engineering.
The certificate awarding ceremony was attended by the university administration representatives and faculty professors. The event summarized the effectiveness of the municipal program, as well as the results and future plans for its implementation. The project is being implemented within the framework of the Tbilisi City Hall program – “Learn and Get a Job”, with the active involvement of the Georgian Technical University and the support of the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall’s City Department of Culture, Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs.
The Tbilisi City Hall’s municipal program – “Learn and Get a Job”, has been operating since 2018. The program offers professional training/retraining to citizens registered in Tbilisi in up to 100 in-demand specialties in the labor market, including fields such as construction, engineering, food technology, tourism, service, information technology, design, transportation, finance, healthcare, and veterinary medicine.
The program aims to promote the employment of job-seeking citizens. According to data from 2018-2025, the program has 15,000 graduates. The employment rate of the program, on average, exceeds 75%. Since 2026, new specialties have been added to this program, which unites more than 17 companies and 138 specialties.
