The mission of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering-Geology is to support the strengthening of scientific research in the field of geology in Georgia, in particular, in the field of hydrogeology and engineering-geology. Raising the scientific potential of these fields is of great importance for the development and progress of the country. Therefore, the management of the institute considers it necessary to intensify scientific activities in this field in order to properly conduct the necessary research in construction, transport and other areas. It is also very important to list the freshwater and thermal water resources across the country and to manage them properly. Solving these issues is impossible without scientific research. In order to fulfill its mission, the Institute aims to find and attract the most advanced modern technologies and technologies in the world, to use modern research methods. It is important to take these steps, because it is impossible to increase the current scientific potential without them. This direction is also aimed at the fact that the institute should attract young staff, give them relevant education, develop the skills that will be useful to them in this activity. To achieve this goal again and again we need to get acquainted with and master new technologies and master modern methods of research. In order to fulfill this mission, the Institute also aims to find experienced foreign partner organizations that will stand by it, share their experiences and establish contacts through which modern research approaches will be introduced in the Institute.
