Mission In order to facilitate the solution of socio-economic-ecological problems facing the country, the Center’s mission is to study the resource potential of Georgia, analyze regional and sectoral aspects of sustainable development of productive forces and develop appropriate recommendations.
Center’s Tasks:• To study Georgia’s natural resources – to determine their potential, study the dynamics of quantitative and qualitative changes in time and space.• To study the dynamics of the quantity and structural parameters of human resources in Georgia, the problems of reproduction of demographic potential, the peculiarities of the formation of labor resources and the issues of providing national economy with the mentioned resources.• To create and permanently update the country’s natural and human resource databases based on the results of research conducted by the Center and other objective information.• To examine the current state and perspectives of the use of natural and human resources and develop appropriate recommendations for their effective use, taking into account modern technologies and environmental safety issues, both all across the country and in its individual regions.• As a result of successful solution of the set tasks – to support the state in ensuring equal socio-economic development on the whole territory of the country, environment protection and rational management of natural resources, that is recognized as a matter of special concern of the state by Articles 31 and 37 of the Constitution of Georgia.
