The Scientific Council of the Archil Eliashvili Institute of Control Systems at the Georgian Technical University announces an open competition to fill the following scientific positions:

Department of Information Transformation Problems:

  • Senior Research Fellow – 0.5 full-time position;
  • Research Fellow – 0.5 full-time position.

Applications will be accepted from October 2, 2025 – October 6, 2025, from 10:00 to 17:00, at the address: Tbilisi, Mindeli St. N10, Archil Eliashvili Institute of Control Systems, 4th floor, room N1. Responsible person: Nino Javashvili, Tel: 032 231 98 74.
The competition will take place on October 8, 2025. The preliminary results of the competition will be published no later than October 8, 2025, in a prominent place by the competition commission and on the institute’s website.
Applications/complaints regarding violations of the competition procedure will be accepted by the competition commission until October 13, 2025.

II. Competition Requirements

Main conditions of the competition:
ა) A Senior Research Fellow position can be held by a person who has a doctoral or equivalent academic degree and at least 6 years of research experience. The Senior Research Fellow must be knowledgeable about the development problems and directions of scientific research; local and foreign achievements in the relevant fields of science; and modern methods and means of organizing and conducting scientific research. In the last 10 years, the candidate must have published at least 10 scientific works (monograph and/or article in a scientific journal and/or proceedings of local and international scientific conferences), of which at least 3: are in the scientific direction of the department in which the candidate intends to apply; are in internationally peer-reviewed and referenced publications and/or international conference proceedings.

ბ) A Research Fellow position can be held by a person who has a master’s or equivalent academic degree. The Research Fellow must be knowledgeable about the objectives and tasks of ongoing research projects in which they participate; similar scientific research in Georgia and abroad; and modern methods of information processing, generalization, and research organization. The candidate must have at least one published scientific work.

A person is elected to the position of Researcher (Senior Research Fellow, Research Fellow) for a term of 5 years.

Applicants must personally (or through a representative) submit:
ა) A properly completed and signed application and form (forms will be published on the institute’s website), along with supporting documentation: diploma, certificate, letter, reference, etc. (original and copy);
ბ) Document confirming scientific/academic degree (original and copy);
გ) Documents confirming scientific-research experience (internship) certified by the relevant organization/institution stamp;
დ) List of scientific and educational-methodological works, certified by the relevant institution/organization or a competent person of its structural unit with signature and stamp (if applicable);
ე) Identity document (original and copy);
ვ) Two photos 3X4;
ზ) Certificate of no criminal record for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability, and certificate regarding deprivation of rights.

Note: Persons who have already submitted these certificates to the university’s Human Resources Management and Administration Service are exempt.

III. Competition Procedure

  • The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Law of Georgia on “Higher Education,” the university regulations, and the “Regulations on the Admission of Scientific Staff to the Archil Eliashvili Institute of Control Systems,” which the applicant will review at the competition commission, and on the university and institute websites;
  • The competition commission will consider: the applicant’s qualifications and competence corresponding to the position, including relevant scientific-research, practical, and other activities, achievements, qualifications, experience, and merits; and, at the commission’s discretion, the results of the interview(s) conducted with the applicant(s);
  • Competition results may be appealed in court in accordance with applicable legislation.
