Grant competition for research projects at the University of Oxford
Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and Oxford University Joint Program CompetitionThe Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and Oxford University Joint Program Competition will fund research projects at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies of Area Studies (http://www.area-studies.ox.ac.uk/), the Department of Russian and East European Studies (http://www.rees.ox.ac.uk) of the University of Oxford in all scientific fields related to Georgia: anthropology, sociology, economics, politics, international relations, history, art, religion, society and culture.
The competition is open to Georgian citizens and individuals who have been awarded a PhD or equivalent academic degree in a relevant field within the last 12 years prior to the start of the grant project. The winner of the competition will receive the status of a visiting researcher at Oxford University and will travel to Oxford University from January 2017 to carry out their own research project.
Applicants must submit in English:
- Research project (no more than 1800 words, MS WORD document, font size 11, spacing – 1.15, font Times New Roman);
- Autobiography (CV, no more than 2 pages, in PDF format);
- A list of three recommenders with the following information: first name, last name, place of employment, contact information (phone number, email address).
- Completed, signed application document (Annex 4);
- Academic degree certificate in PDF format;
- Copy of your identity document (ID card/international passport) in PDF format.
In order to register a project in the competition, a grant-seeking scientist must send the above-mentioned documents (1, 2, 3, 5, 6) by e-mail to the following address: uo@rustaveli.org.ge, by 18:00 on May 30, 2016. An electronically registered project is assigned a code, which is also sent to the scientist by e-mail. The grant-seeking scientist must indicate the received code on the application for participation in the competition (Appendix 4) and submit the completed, signed application form to the Fund’s Chancellery no later than 18:00 on May 31, 2016.
