Scientific Council of the “TALGA” Institute, Georgian Technical University, announces an open competition

The competition is announced for filling the following scientific position:

Researcher – 0.5 full-time equivalent

Applications will be accepted from December 18 to December 20, 2023, from 10:00 to 17:00 at the address: Zurab Anjaparidze St. N5 (former Sandro Euli St.), “TALGA” Institute, 6th floor, Room N622. Responsible person: Valerian Vachadze, Tel: +995 599 145 413.

The competition will take place on December 22, 2023. Preliminary results will be published no later than December 22, 2023, at a prominent place by the Competition Commission and on the Institute’s website: https://gtutalga.wordpress.com/

Complaints regarding violations of the competition procedure will be accepted by the Competition Commission until December 27, 2023.

II. Competition Conditions

Main conditions of the competition:

a) The position of Researcher can be held by a person who has a Master’s or equivalent academic degree.

The Researcher is elected for a term of 5 years.

Applicants must personally (or through a representative) submit:

a) Properly completed and signed application form (forms will be published on the Institute’s website: https://gtutalga.wordpress.com/) along with supporting documentation verifying the information presented in them: diploma, certificate, license, reference, etc. (original and copy);

b) Document confirming scientific/academic degree (original and copy);

c) Documents confirming scientific-research experience (stages), certified by the respective organization/institution with a stamp;

d) List of scientific and teaching-methodological works, certified by the competent person of the respective institution/organization or its structural unit (if available);

e) Identity document (original and copy);

f) Two photographs 3×4 cm;

g) Certificate of no criminal record for offenses against sexual freedom and integrity, and certificate of rights revocation.

Note: persons who have already submitted these certificates to the University Human Capital Management Department are exempt from submission.

III. Competition Procedure

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Law of Georgia “On Higher Education,” the University Charter, and the “Rules for Hiring Scientific Personnel of the TALGA Institute,” which the applicant will be familiarized with at the Competition Commission, University, and Institute websites.

The Competition Commission will take into account: the applicant’s qualifications and competence for the position, including scientific-research, practical, and other activities, achievements, qualifications, experience, and merits; also, the results of the interview(s) conducted with the applicant(s) (as determined by the Commission).

The results of the competition may be appealed in court according to the applicable legislation.
