Announcement of the Academic Council of Georgian Technical University
The Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University, a Legal Entity of Public Law, announces the appointment of elections for the position of Head of the University’s Quality Assurance Service, in accordance with Resolution №01-05-04/162 of October 9, 2024 of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University.
Elections for the position of Head of the University Quality Assurance Service shall be scheduled for November 1, 2024.
Registration of candidates participating in the election shall take place from October 18 to October 25, 2024.
The presentation of candidates’ action programs before the Academic Council shall be held on October 31, 2024.
The position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service may be held by a person who meets the following requirements:
a) Holds a Doctoral degree or equivalent;
b) Has at least 4 years of scientific-pedagogical experience;
c) Has at least 4 years of managerial experience;
d) Is under 65 years of age.
Candidates must submit the following documents to the Election Commission:
a) Proof of Doctoral or equivalent academic degree (original and copy);
b) Documents certifying work experience;
c) Curriculum Vitae (CV);
d) Identity document (original and copy);
e) Action program;
f) Certificate of medical-narcological examination;
g) Certificate of no criminal record for offenses against sexual freedom and inviolability, and certificate regarding deprivation of rights;
h) 1 photograph (3×4 cm).
Applications shall be submitted at the office of the University Election Commission, Tbilisi, 77 Kostava Street, Administrative Building, 2nd Floor, Room 233. Applications will be accepted from 10:00 to 17:00, except weekends and public holidays.
In accordance with the University Statute, the Academic Council, by a qualified majority vote (2/3) and secret ballot, shall individually decide on the eligibility of a person aged 65 or older to hold an administrative position.
Such a person must additionally submit the consent of the Academic Council to the University Election Commission.
Interested individuals must submit an application to the Academic Council by October 15, 2024, via the University Department of Administration (Address: 77 Kostava St., Administrative Building, 2nd Floor).
The presence of the person at the Academic Council meeting during the discussion of their case is mandatory; otherwise, the matter will not be considered.
