73 წლის ასაკში გარდაიცვალა ცნობილი საზოგადო მოღვაწე და მეცნიერი, გენერალ-ლეიტენანტი ჯემალ გახოკიძე – საქართველოს ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტის რექტორის მრჩეველი, სამართლისა და საერთაშორისო ურთიერთობების ფაკულტეტის პროფესორი, 2010 წლიდან 2024 წლის თებერვლამდე უნივერსიტეტის წარმომადგენლობითი საბჭოს (სენატი) სპიკერი, საქართველოს შინაგან საქმეთა მინისტრის ყოფილი მოადგილე, საქართველოს სახელმწიფო უშიშროების ყოფილი მინისტრი, ეროვნული უშიშროების საბჭოს მდივნის ყოფილი მოადგილე.
