Research Institute for Cultural Protection and Technological Development of Georgian State Languages

The establishment of the Scientific Research Institute for the Cultural Protection and Technological Development of the State Languages of Georgia laid the foundation, within the Georgian academic space, for research processes aimed at the comprehensive mathematical study of the Georgian language and its technological support. The purpose of these studies is to protect the state languages of Georgia from the threat of digital extinction in the era of artificial intelligence and to ensure their technological development.

Biotechnology Center

The mission of the Biotechnology Center, as a scientific research institution, is to conduct fundamental research on modern, innovative technologies that have been tested and validated worldwide, as well as to adapt and modify these technologies in accordance with the geographical and climatic conditions of Georgia. In particular, its activities include the production and dissemination of elite seed and planting material for various agricultural crops; the monitoring, conservation, cultivation, and sustainable use of Georgia’s biodiversity; the testing of biopreparations on agricultural crops with the aim of reducing microbial diseases; and the development and implementation of new technologies for the storage of grapes and fruit crops.

GEORGIAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY IR. ZHORDANIA CENTER STUDYING PRODUCTIVE FORCES AND NATURAL RESOURCES OF GEORGIA

The mission of the Center is to contribute to addressing the country’s socio-economic and environmental challenges by studying Georgia’s resource potential, analyzing the regional and sectoral aspects of the sustainable development of productive forces, and developing appropriate recommendations.

Scientific – Technological Center of Sensory Electronics and Material Science of the Georgian Technical University

One of the research directions of the Scientific and Technological Center for Sensor Electronics and Materials Science is the improvement of the equipment and functionalities of remotely operated robots for special purposes, including equipping robots with new types of sensors and integrating them into the system software.

Institute of Constructions, Special Systems and Engineering Maintenance of Georgian Technical University

The scientific, technical, and technological activities of the Institute of Buildings, Special Systems and Engineering Support of the Georgian Technical University include research into and development of the theory of deployable, foldable, and transformable systems, as well as the design and creation of specific space-based and terrestrial systems.

Institute of Quantum Physics and Engineering Technologies

The Institute of Quantum Physics and Engineering Technologies is a research and educational institution whose mission is to promote the development of modern fundamental physics and high-technology engineering fields in Georgia, as well as the creation and dissemination of knowledge.

Institute of Hydrometeorology

The Institute of Hydrometeorology was established in 1953 on the basis of the Tbilisi Magnetic-Meteorological (Geophysical) Observatory (founded in 1844). By Resolution No. 293 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Georgia, dated March 10, 1992, the Institute operated within the system of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences from 1992 to 2005.

Vladimer Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics of the Georgian Technical University

The Vladimer Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics of the Georgian Technical University was founded on October 3, 1960, by Resolution # 690 of the Council of Ministers of the Georgian SSR in the form of the Institute of Cybernetics of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. Based on Resolution # 58 of the Government of Georgia dated March 16, 2006, the Institute was transformed into a legal entity of public law and renamed the legal entity of the Institute of Cybernetics. According to Resolution # 61 of the Government of Georgia of March 2, 2010, the institute was named after its founder, Academician Vladimir Chavchanidze. Based on Resolution # 185 of the Government of Georgia dated July 9, 2010, the Institute was reorganized as a Structural Unit of the Technical University of Georgia - an independent scientific research institute.

Tsotne Mirtskhulava Water Management Institute of Georgian Technical University
