an international summer school on the use of 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry technologies for documenting cultural heritage monuments will be held in Batumi.

Registration is now open for the CIPA International Summer School – 3D Laser Scanning, Modeling and Photogrammetry in the Documentation of Cultural Heritage.

Participants will learn about an intensive, hands-on training program dedicated to the modern documentation of architectural and cultural heritage.

The program is intended for:

  • Students;
  • Researchers;
  • Young professionals;
  • Practitioners in the fields of architecture, archaeology, cultural heritage, geodesy, geomatics, and monitoring;
  • Anyone interested in gaining practical experience in the use of the latest digital technologies for documenting cultural heritage.

As part of the summer school, participants, under the guidance of internationally recognized CIPA experts, will complete the digital documentation of a late 19th-early 20th-century residential building – now the House of the Adjara Union of Architects – using advanced technologies.

Participants will explore the building, constructed in the European architectural style, and discover the rich cultural heritage of Batumi’s historic urban environment.
