Computer Network Technician – Free Training Course for GTU Students


The Georgian Technical University, within the framework of Erasmus+ Micro-GEAR program, announces the admission of students to a two-month training course – Computer Network Technician.

The studies will begin on April 21st.

The course aims to provide theoretical and practical training in network technologies using network devices and software.

The short-term course includes:

  • Basic principles of computer networks
  • LAN network planning and configuration
  • IP address configuration
  • Basic router and switch configuration
  • Network problem diagnosis
  • Wi-Fi network configuration
  • Using basic network security mechanisms

Lecture days: Tuesday and Thursday

  • Start time: 06:00 p.m.
  • Lecture duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
  • Teaching material: in English
  • English language proficiency level: B1
  • Prerequisite for admission to the course: basic knowledge of information technologies.

Lectures will be held at the Georgian Technical University, Building 9.

The course is completely free for GTU students and is implemented within the framework of the European Commission’s Erasmus+ program – Micro-GEAR project.

Successful graduates will be awarded certificates.
