A Workshop on the Results and Prospects of ERASMUS+ International Projects Held at GTU
A two-day workshop on the topic: “Report on international grant projects and sharing of experience at GTU” is being held in the library hall of the administrative building of the Georgian Technical University, organized by the Technology and Grant Projects Office.
On April 7th, the meeting was opened by Professor Tamar Lominadze, Vice-Rector of GTU. She emphasized the importance of international grant programs for the strategic development of the university and stated that meetings of this format contribute to both the accumulation of institutional experience and the deepening of future international cooperation.
The event aimed to present the results of ongoing projects, share accumulated practical knowledge, and demonstrate effective project management models.
The main objectives of the meeting are:
- To showcase the progress of international projects underway at the university;
- To increase the visibility of grant programs;
- To discuss challenges in project management and identify solutions;
- To systematically share experience between academic and administrative staff.
The event was attended by directors of university institutes, deans of faculties, professors, and the administration representatives, which gave the meeting an interdisciplinary and wide-ranging character.
Within the framework of the working meeting, reports were presented by heads of international projects and staff.
Today’s meeting was dedicated to the projects funded under the Erasmus+ program. During the meeting, 10 ongoing projects were discussed, with presentations delivered by the project leaders and the staff involved in the projects.
As already mentioned, the workshop is a two-day event and will continue on April 8th. On the second day, ongoing projects within the framework of Horizon Europe and other international grant programs will be discussed. Participants will learn about various grant instruments and their specific implementation details.
The meeting is interactive – after each presentation, a discussion is held, participants actively participate in the discussion, and they receive competent answers to questions raised on issues important to them.
This meeting is an important platform for the university’s academic staff and researchers to share best practices and introduce modern approaches to the effective management of grant projects.
Georgian Technical University continues to actively work to strengthen its position in the international grant space, expand international partnerships, and fully realize its scientific and research potential.
