Vocational qualification awarded: Higher Vocational Qualification in Mechanic

Programme objective: The aim of the vocational education programme is to prepare a qualified specialist who, for the field of mechanics and metalworking; Vocational education program is to provide training for mechanical engineering technicians who participate in the design, manufacture, maintenance, service and repair of technical systems – machines, mechanical devices and mechanisms.

Program volume and duration.

  • Volume: 120 credits
  • Duration: 80 weeks

For non-Georgian speaking students:

  • Volume: 150 credits
  • Duration: 100 weeks

Admission prerequisite: Full general education

Employment opportunities: Holders of the highest professional qualification in mechanics can be employed in machine-building enterprises, as well as in enterprises in such sectors as: food industry, light industry, transport, metallurgy, chemical industry, mining and processing of minerals, agriculture and other sectors, in whose production processes machines and equipment are used. Also, a mechanical engineering technician has the opportunity for self-employment in the field of machine-building.
