At the Georgian Technical University, initiated and organized by the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, a scientific and intellectual event – “Women’s Voice in Science”- was held, with the goal of presenting the role, achievements, and innovative ideas of women researchers, sharing experiences, and strengthening professional and research networks.

The event brought together experienced and young scientists, who presented their research results and scientific visions.

As the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Lili Petriashvili, notes, at the meeting, female scientists, including young researchers, discussed such topical topics raised in the international scientific space as the use of artificial intelligence in education and research, big data analysis, the development of cognitive services, information systems security and risk management, stochastic modeling, the role of renewable energies in the modern digital era, and also reviewed the opportunities for expanding international scientific cooperation and academic collaboration.

“Today’s event once again emphasizes how important the active participation of women is in the development of modern science. Our great desire is for “Women’s Voice in Science” to become a university platform that unites women researchers of different generations, engages students, promotes the exchange and sharing of scientific ideas, strengthens professional ties, and creates new opportunities for young scientists. It is especially important for the youth to hear firsthand the opinions and visions of experienced scientists, which will provide them with significant motivation. We believe that through such meetings, we will contribute to the creation of an environment where innovative ideas will be developed into real future research projects,” says Lili Petriashvili.

At the scientific-intellectual event “Women’s Voice in Science”, the following professors of the Georgian Technical University presented their reports: Irina Khomeriki, on the topic – “International Scientific and Technical Center ISTC – 30 years of experience, safety, sustainability”; Tamar Berberashvili, on the topic – “The path to European collaboration”; Mzia Kiknadze, on the topic – “Using artificial intelligence tools in the educational process”; Lili Petriashvili, on the topic – “Stochastic modeling-based decision-making support multi-sensor system (DSS) in forecasting and management”; Nona Otkhozoria, on the topic – “Research on risk analysis and control methods of information systems in laboratories accredited by ISO/IEC 17025”; Nino Topuria, with the topic – “Cognitive Services and Artificial Intelligence for Designing a Farmer Support Information System”; Mariam Chkhaidze, with the topic – “Using AI in Educational Sciences Research: An Inclusive Perspective”.
