“Energy-Saving Technologies and Environmental Engineering” – VI International Scientific-Practical Seminar at GTU

On October 26-31, the Georgian Technical University will host the VI International Scientific-Practical Seminar “Energy-Saving Technologies and Environmental Engineering”.

The seminar is held together with the Georgian Technical University and co-founding universities: Białystok University of Technology, Lublin University of Life Sciences, Turkish Economic and Social Research Institute, Armenian National University of Architecture and Construction, and Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Construction supervision and safety

The Seminar scientific committee will publish a monograph.

Presentation of the book “The Law of Police Structures” at GTU

On July 17, at 15:00, in the hall of the Niko Muskhelishvili University Library of the Georgian Technical University, a presentation of the book “The Law of Police Structures” by Professors Givi and David Lobzhanidze will be held.The event will be held at the initiative of the Faculty of Law and International Relations and organized by the Department of Public Law.

The event will be attended by senior officials from various Georgian universities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Defense of Georgia, representatives of the Parliament and other state institutions.

Professor Satoshi Mihara will give a public lecture at GTU

On Tuesday, June 30, at 15:00, Professor Satoshi Mihara (Japan), Department of Engineering Physics, Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, Georgian Technical University, will hold a public lecture on the topic – “Introduction to KEK and J-PARC: Frontiers of Particle Physics and Accelerator Development in Japan”.

The lecture will be held in the GTU Administrative Building, 4th floor, Giorgi Nikoladze Hall

International Conference at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design

On June 30th, at 11:00 a.m., an international conference dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of the Christianization of Georgia will be held at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the Georgian Technical University.

The conference, which will be held in auditorium 403 at the faculty, will be conducted in Georgian and English.

Students’ Works Exhibition at the “Universe” Gallery

On June 30 and July 1, an exhibition of the Fashion Design Technologies Bachelor’s Program students’ works of the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of Georgian Technical University will be held at the “Universe” Gallery.

The project “Energy Wednesday for All” continues at the Faculty of Power Engineering

Within the framework of the project, on June 24th, at 03:00 p.m., the seventh public lecture will be held in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Power Engineering.

The topic is: “Use of energy-attached batteries in power systems”.

The speaker of the seventh lecture will be Professor Archil Kokhtashvili.

“Hydrogen Energy – A Way to Solve Global Problems” – Sixth Public Lecture at the Faculty of Power Engineering

On June 17th, at 03:00 p.m., the project “Energy Wednesdays for All” will continue in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Power Engineering and the sixth public lecture will be held.

The speaker of the lecture, Academician Revaz Kavtaradze, will present the topic – “Hydrogen Energy – A Way to Solve Global Problems”.

Anyone who wishes to attend the meeting will be able to attend.

“Dante Day 2026” and the 20th anniversary of the “Dante Alighieri Society – Tbilisi Committee” at GTU

On June 15-16, within the framework of the season dedicated to the popularization of the Italian language and culture, the Georgian Technical University will host important international cultural and academic events aimed at deepening Georgian-Italian cultural relations and promoting Italian humanism and language.

Schedule of events:

On June 15th, at 07:00 p.m., the Secretary General of the “Dante Alighieri Society”, art historian and essayist, Professor Alessandro Mazi, will deliver a public lecture on the topic: “The Italian Triptych: Giotto, Saint Francis, Dante and the Birth of Italian Humanism”. He will introduce the audience to the creative and spiritual heritage of the three greatest figures of Italian and European civilization. Professor Mazi will discuss the process of transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and the return of man to the center of culture, art, and thought.
On June 16th, at 05:00 p.m., the Georgian Technical University will celebrate “Dante International Day 2026” and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the “Dante Alighieri Society – Tbilisi Committee”.

The anniversary event will be dedicated to summing up twenty years of activities to popularize the Italian language and culture and to strengthening Georgian-Italian cultural cooperation.

The event is organized by the “Tbilisi Committee of the Dante Alighieri Society” and the Georgian Technical University, with the support of the Embassy of Italy in Georgia.

The event, which will be attended by representatives of the academic, cultural, and diplomatic circles of Georgia and Italy, and will be opened by the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze.

Distinguished guests will address the event, including His Excellency Massimiliano D’Antuono, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Georgia; Professor Alessandro Salacone; and Professor Nino Tsertsvadze, President of the Tbilisi Committee. The program will also feature performances by poet Dato Maghradze and mezzo-soprano Nino Surguladze.

The agenda will comprise official speeches, a commemorative anniversary segment, the presentation of certificates, and a cultural program celebrating the enduring friendship between Georgia and Italy as well as their shared European cultural heritage.

GTU Yuza Kublashvili Men’s Folk Capella Jubilee concert

On June 19th, at 08:00 p.m., the Yuza Kublashvili Men’s Folk Capella of GTU will hold an anniversary concert in the Nodar Dumbadze’s Youth Audience Theater.

Book Presentation developed within the framework of the international project at GTU

On July 9th, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies of the Georgian Technical University will host a presentation of the book entitled “Success Strategies in Short Food Supply Chains: Case Studies from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia”.

The Georgian Technical University participates as a partner organization in the international project “Family Farms in Short Food Supply Chains: Experience Transfer from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland”, funded by the Visegrad Foundation, which aims to promote sustainable agricultural development, economic empowerment of family farms, and sharing European experience in the field of Short Food Supply Chains (SFSC).

The project brings together leading European educational and research institutions, including Mendel University (Czech Republic), Poznan University of Economics and Business (Poland), Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Georgian Technical University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, and other partner organizations. Based on knowledge and experience accumulated through international cooperation, a book was prepared that reflects the successful practices of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia in developing short food supply chains.

The book is a practical guide that brings together successful examples of family farm development, innovative business models, and strategies that help farmers create added value for their products, increase competitiveness in the market, and strengthen direct connections with consumers. The publication pays special attention to issues of food security, strengthening local economies, and sustainable development of rural regions.

The special guest of the event will be the project coordinator, expert from Mendel University (Brno, Czech Republic), Ivo Zdrahal, who will introduce the main results of the project, European experience, and modern approaches to the development of short food supply chains to the audience.

Researchers at Georgian Technical University play an active role in the project’s research activities, knowledge dissemination, and the introduction of international experience in Georgia. Their involvement further highlights the university’s significant contribution to international scientific research and educational collaboration.

The event will bring together academics, researchers, students, farmers, agribusiness representatives, and people interested in rural development issues. After the presentation, a discussion will be held, during which participants will have the opportunity to discuss with experts the prospects for the development of Georgia’s agro-sector, ways to promote sustainable agriculture, and the future of local food systems.

This event is a key element of the Georgian Technical University’s international cooperation and knowledge-sharing strategy. Its goal is to unite science, education, and practical experience to support sustainable agricultural development.
