Georgian Technical University offers vocational education programs in various fields, based on the needs of the country and the demands of the labor market. The university has the necessary resources and high potential to provide continuous education. Due to its specialization, most of the existing vocational education programs are focused on technical fields, although other programs are also successfully implemented.
To start the registration, you must pay a non-refundable registration fee of 75 USD (or its equivalent in GEL). Bank details are provided within the online registration form.
In the first step, you will need to upload the payment receipt.
You must also provide your personal details: name, surname, passport number, contact information, and physical address.
Step 2: Choosing a Study Program
Select your desired academic level (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, or Preparatory Course).
Choose your preferred educational program and language of instruction (Georgian, English, or Russian).
If you choose an English-taught program, you are required to submit an English language proficiency certificate (B2 level).
Step 3: Uploading Documents
In the final step of the registration form, you must upload the following documents (all documents must be translated and notarized):
Copy of Passport
Educational Documents:
For Bachelor's — High School Certificate / Diploma;
For Master's — Bachelor's Diploma and Transcripts;
For PhD — Master's Diploma and Transcripts.
Filled Application Form (the form can be downloaded directly from the registration page).
Additional Documents (if applicable): Vocational certificate, comparison act (for transfer students), portfolio, and motivation letter (for Architecture and Design programs).
GTU Assistance Service: If you want the university to assist you with document translation and submission to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, you must upload an additional 300 USD service fee receipt.
After uploading all documents and submitting the form, the GTU International Relations Department will contact you via your provided email with further instructions.

In accordance with Article 63 of General Administrative Code of Georgia, Article 21, paragraph “R” of the Law of Georgia “On higher education”, Article 8, paragraph “Z” of the University Charter approved by Order №133/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, dated September 9, 2013, “On approval of the Charter of the Legal Entity of Public Law – Georgian Technical University”, and on the basis of the Protocol №01-05-04/31 of the Academic Council, dated November 8, 2021, the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University has established the following:
To make amendments to the Resolution # 01-05-04/253 of the GTU Academic Council, dated September 20, 2018 "On determining tuition fees for students of GTU" and formulate the first, second, third and fourth paragraphs of the Resolution as follows:
“1. One-year (60 ECTS credits) tuition fee for persons enrolled in bachelor's and master's degree programs on the basis of an individual administrative-legal act of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, in accordance with the Unified National Examinations / General Master's Examinations, as well as the Law of Georgia on Higher Education (except for the persons referred to in paragraph 2 of this Resolution) is set at the amount of GEL 2,250 (two thousand two hundred and fifty).
The tuition fees for persons enrolled in the undergraduate and postgraduate educational programs of the University on the basis of Article 52, paragraph 3 and Article 521, paragraph 7 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, as well as of Order #224 of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, dated December 29, 2011 "On Approval of the Procedure for Submission and Review of Documents by Entrants / Master Candidates / Students with the Right to Study in the Higher Education Institution without Passing the Unified National Examinations / General Master's Examinations" shall be determined as follows:

4. 15% of the annual tuition fee paid by a student may be paid to the recruiting agent / agency to attract entrants.”
The resolution is valid for students enrolled, reinstated or transferred from the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.
The resolution should be submitted to the GTU Board of Representatives (Senate) for approval.
The resolution should be published on the university's website and provided to the interested persons by the Case Management Department.
The Resolution can be appealed within 1 month after its publication in the Administrative Cases Panel of the Tbilisi City Court, located at: Tbilisi, Davit Agmashenebeli Alley, 12th km, №64.

Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is one of the oldest capitals in Europe. It was founded in the 5th century, specifically in the 450s, by King Vakhtang Gorgasali.
The territory of present-day Tbilisi was inhabited as early as the 4th millennium BC. In the city’s historic district, Abanotubani, the remains of an ancient settlement and a Roman-style bathhouse dating from the 1st to the 3rd millennium AD have been discovered, indicating the presence of a highly developed culture.
Located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, Tbilisi has long been home to people of diverse cultures and religions. It remains a multi-ethnic and multi-religious city.

Geography
Tbilisi is located in eastern Georgia, on both banks of the Mtkvari River, at elevations ranging from 380 to 600 meters above sea level. Mtatsminda Mountain, the most famous of the hills surrounding the city, rises to 719 meters above sea level.
The highest residential area is the Nutsubidze Plateau, situated at approximately 700 meters above sea level.
The Mtkvari River, the city’s main waterway, flows through Tbilisi from northwest to southeast.
Climate
The average annual temperature in Tbilisi is relatively mild, reaching 12.2°C. The coldest month is January, with an average temperature of 0.9°C, while the hottest month is July, with an average temperature of 24.4°C. Snow falls on approximately 15 days per year.
Tbilisi receives relatively little precipitation, and the air is generally dry. Due to its geographical location, cloud cover is limited, resulting in many long, sunny days throughout the year.
Strategic Importance
Tbilisi is an important industrial, social, and cultural center of the Caucasus region. The capital of Georgia serves as one of the key transport hubs for major international energy and trade projects, including the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum gas pipeline.
The city lies along one of the historic routes of the Great Silk Road and serves as an important trade and transit hub connecting Russia, the North Caucasus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.

Green Spaces in Tbilisi

Rike Park A modern recreational area in the city center, located on the banks of the Mtkvari River. From here, visitors can take a cable car directly to Narikala Fortress.

Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is one of the oldest capitals in Europe. It was founded in the 5th century, specifically in the 450s, by King Vakhtang Gorgasali.
The territory of present-day Tbilisi was inhabited as early as the 4th millennium BC. In the city’s historic district, Abanotubani, the remains of an ancient settlement and a Roman-style bathhouse dating from the 1st to the 3rd millennium AD have been discovered, indicating the presence of a highly developed culture.
Located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, Tbilisi has long been home to people of diverse cultures and religions. It remains a multi-ethnic and multi-religious city.
The city’s rich history is reflected in its architecture and cultural heritage. Modern Tbilisi is a blend of Georgian, Persian, Russian, and European architectural styles, creating a unique and vibrant urban landscape.
Geography
Tbilisi is located in eastern Georgia, on both banks of the Mtkvari River, at elevations ranging from 380 to 600 meters above sea level. Mtatsminda Mountain, the most famous of the hills surrounding the city, rises to 719 meters above sea level.
The highest residential area is the Nutsubidze Plateau, situated at approximately 700 meters above sea level.
The Mtkvari River, the city’s main waterway, flows through Tbilisi from northwest to southeast.
Climate
The average annual temperature in Tbilisi is relatively mild, reaching 12.2°C. The coldest month is January, with an average temperature of 0.9°C, while the hottest month is July, with an average temperature of 24.4°C. Snow falls on approximately 15 days per year.
Tbilisi receives relatively little precipitation, and the air is generally dry. Due to its geographical location, cloud cover is limited, resulting in many long, sunny days throughout the year.

Tbilisi is an important industrial, social, and cultural center of the Caucasus region. The capital of Georgia serves as one of the key transport hubs for major international energy and trade projects, including the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum gas pipeline.
The city lies along one of the historic routes of the Great Silk Road and serves as an important trade and transit hub connecting Russia, the North Caucasus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.

Green Spaces in Tbilisi
Tbilisi’s varied landscape and moderately humid subtropical climate support a wide range of green spaces throughout the city. These parks provide excellent opportunities for relaxation, walking, and exercise throughout the year.
Rike Park A modern recreational area in the city center, located on the banks of the Mtkvari River. From here, visitors can take a cable car directly to Narikala Fortress.
Mtatsminda Park One of the highest points in the city, 719 meters above sea level, this park offers panoramic views of Tbilisi.
Vake Park and Turtle Lake A favorite leisure destination, especially among students. From Vake Park, visitors can take a cable car or follow a hiking trail to Turtle Lake, a popular summer destination for swimming and sunbathing. Continuing along the trail leads to the Ethnographic Museum, an open-air museum presenting a miniature representation of Georgia’s diverse regional architecture and culture.
Lisi Lake Located in the upper part of the city near the Nutsubidze Plateau, 700 m above sea level. Lisi Lake is one of the most popular spots in Tbilisi for cycling, walking, and spending time with friends.
Botanical Garden Situated at the foot of Narikala Fortress, the National Botanical Garden of Georgia is a peaceful green oasis, ideal for visitors who enjoy exotic plants, waterfalls, and tranquility.
