Vocational qualification awarded: Secondary Vocational Qualification in Fashion Technology and Design

Program Objective: The objective of the vocational education program is to prepare competitive and highly qualified specialists for both local and international labor markets.

Program Volume and Duration:

For Georgian-speaking students:

  • Volume: 90 credits
  • Duration: 67 academic weeks

For non-Georgian-speaking students:

  • Volume: 120 credits
  • Duration: 88 academic weeks

Admission prerequisite: Full general education

Employment Opportunities: A fashion technologist-designer may be employed in fashion design companies, sewing/manufacturing enterprises of various sizes, or may be self-employed (custom tailoring, individual entrepreneurship, or small/private business).

  • National classifier of economic activity code: 13.10.0 – Preparation and spinning of textile fibers; 14.13.0 – Manufacture of other outerwear
  • ISCO Codes: 7531 – Tailors, dressmakers, furriers, and hatters; 7532 – Garment and related pattern-makers and cutters; 7533 – Sewing, embroidery, and related workers; 7543 – Product graders and testers (except food and beverages); 8153 – Sewing machine operators
