Education
Graduated from the Mining Faculty of the Georgian Polytechnic Institute (1984), specializing as a Mining Construction Engineer.
Scientific degree and rank
Candidate of Technical Sciences (2005).
Work experience
Since 2023, he has been a full member of the Georgian Academy of Mining Sciences and a member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences. He holds the titles of Honorary Doctor and Visiting Professor abroad.
In 2023, he was elected as a member of the Academic Council of Georgian Technical University.
From 1998 to 2023, he worked in elected, state, and municipal bodies, as well as in international companies, holding senior leadership positions. These include: member of the Advisory Board of the Committee on Science and Education of the Parliament of Georgia; Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Peacekeeping of Georgia; Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications; Member and Secretary of the Tbilisi City Council; General Representative of S7 Airlines in Georgia, Korea, Ukraine, and Italy. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Aviation Committee of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Since 2022, he has been a member of the Dissertation Council of Engineering, Technology, and Natural Sciences at GTU. Since 2021, he has been a professor at the Department of Mining Technologies of Georgian Technical University.
Inventions
Professor Gudavadze has significant experience in mining engineering and energy infrastructure. He is currently working on the supply of natural gas from the Caspian region to the countries of Southeastern Europe via Georgia and the Black Sea, as well as on issues related to the construction of underground gas storage facilities and ensuring a safe and uninterrupted gas supply.
He is the author of 32 scientific publications, including monographs and a textbook.
