Meeting Held at GTU with a Delegation from Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University of China
A meeting with a delegation from Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University of China (Shenzhen, China) was held at the Georgian Technical University, during which the parties discussed opportunities for future cooperation and the prospects of implementing joint educational and scientific projects.
The President of the Supervisory Board of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Zurab Gudavadze, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies, Professor Gia Chichinadze, and Head of the Department of International Relations, Thea Murvanidze, welcomed the delegation from the Chinese university, consisting of Professors Wei Feng, Guo Jingguan, and Ren Xiaoxiun. During the meeting, the GTU representatives presented the university’s current educational and scientific activities.
The parties introduced the successful projects implemented by their respective universities, discussed mutually beneficial areas of future cooperation, and focused on opportunities for joint research projects and academic exchange programs.
As Professor Zurab Gudavadze noted, the partnership between the Georgian Technical University and Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University of China will strengthen educational and scientific cooperation while creating opportunities to jointly implement innovative approaches. According to him, the collaboration will promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, the sharing of modern technologies and research methodologies, the development of joint scientific projects, international grant initiatives, and academic programs. The President of the GTU Supervisory Board also emphasized that student and academic staff exchange programs, joint research activities, and active participation in international scientific networks will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness and internationalization of both universities, serving as an important foundation for high-quality education and innovative research.
Professor Wei Feng of Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University of China thanked the representatives of the Georgian Technical University for the productive and engaging meeting. As he noted, the Georgian Technical University possesses significant engineering, scientific, and educational potential, providing a strong foundation for a long-term and productive partnership between the two institutions. Professor Feng expressed his hope that the working visit would lead to concrete agreements and future joint initiatives.
As part of the visit, the delegation from Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University of China toured the teaching, research, and expert laboratories of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies at the Georgian Technical University, where they became acquainted with the faculty’s modern facilities and advanced technological equipment.
