GTU Rector Expresses Condolences to the Family and Colleagues over the Passing of Professor Lamara Berishvili


The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, expresses his deep sorrow over the passing of Professor Lamara Berishvili and extends his sincere condolences to her family, relatives, and colleagues.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Lamara Berishvili, a distinguished scientist and educator of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, relatives, and all those who were connected with her throughout her many years of professional life.

Lamara Berishvili’s professional journey was deeply intertwined with the Georgian Technical University. Throughout nearly six decades of dedicated service, she made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of chemistry and chemical technology, as well as to the education and professional growth of multiple generations of students.

Lamara Berishvili’s scientific and practical work, consistently distinguished by high professional standards, depth, and a continuous pursuit of innovation, deserves special recognition.

Associate Professor Lamara Berishvili authored more than 30 scientific papers and seven textbooks and methodological guides in analytical chemistry. Her textbooks, distinguished by their theoretical and practical significance, continue to serve as valuable reference works for many students and specialists.

For her fruitful and successful professional and creative activities, she received numerous certificates of honor and awards.

Lamara Berishvili’s name and professional legacy will forever remain an important part of the history of the Georgian Technical University.”
