GTU Rector expresses condolences over the death of prominent Georgian mathematician Aleksandre Lashkhi
The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Chairman of the Standing Conference of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Georgia, Academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, expresses condolences to the family, relatives, the Niko Muskhelishvili Institute of Computational Mathematics, colleagues, and students over the death of mathematician, scientist, and teacher Aleksandre (Sandro) Lashkhi.
“Mr. Sandro Lashkhi has made a significant contribution to the development of Georgian science, the mathematical school and higher education for many years. His scientific and educational activities will leave a significant mark in the history of Georgian mathematics and university life.
On behalf of the many thousands of people of Georgian Technical University, we express our condolences to the family, relatives, colleagues, friends, and his students of Aleksandre Lashkhi.
