International Projects Workshop Successfully Ended


On April 8, a two-day workshop, “International Projects – Results and Prospects,” ended at the library of the Administrative Building of the Georgian Technical University.

The event was organized by the Technology and Grant Projects Office, where ongoing innovative research and its future plans were discussed within the framework of the Horizon Europe and Interreg programs.

Reports were presented by the leaders and researchers of international projects:

  • David Lomidze (Institute of Quantum Physics and Engineering Technologies) – BEYOND project;
  • Giorgi Giorgobiani (Institute of Computational Mathematics) – projects: GAIN, Forge AI, and WARIE;
  • Tamriko Supatashvili (Institute of Water Management) – project AlgaeRevive;
  • David Maghradze (Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies) – project Eco2Wine.

The Head of the Technology and Grant Projects Office, Giorgi Mikiashvili, spoke about the importance of the event:

“Our priority is to make each scientific achievement more accessible to the wider community. We are actively working to ensure the effective dissemination of project results, both locally and internationally.”

The conclusion of the two-day workshop once again confirmed the crucial role of international grant projects in the university’s internationalization and development process. GTU continues to establish new partnerships and actively participates in European grant programs.
