Georgian Technical University Expresses Condolences over the Passing of Distinguished Scientist and Educator Professor Teimuraz Tsabadze

The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, expresses his deep sorrow over the passing of the distinguished mathematician and educator, Chief Scientist at the GTU Vladimer Chavchanidze Research Institute of Cybernetics, and for many years Head of the Department of Computational Mathematics at the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, Professor Teimuraz Tsabadze. He extends his sincere condolences to Professor Tsabadze’s family, relatives, and colleagues.

“With the passing of Professor Teimuraz Tsabadze, the Georgian Technical University and the Vladimer Chavchanidze Research Institute of Cybernetics have lost an outstanding scientist, educator, and colleague of exceptional personal integrity. Through decades of scientific and academic work, he made a profound contribution to the advancement of Georgian Technical University as well as the Georgian schools of mathematics and computer science.

Professor Teimuraz Tsabadze’s principled approach, outstanding professionalism, and genuine dedication to educating young people served as an example for many generations. Under his leadership, numerous successful specialists were trained, and his scientific legacy will continue to serve Georgian science for many years.

Professor Tsabadze was always distinguished by his sense of responsibility, kindness, and respect for his colleagues. Throughout his professional career, he served as Vice President of the Georgian State Fuel and Energy Corporation, Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy of Georgia, Head of the Methodological and Information Support Department of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), and General Director of the Scientific and Engineering Center “Systemotis.” He actively participated in international scientific conferences and global forums and authored 65 scientific publications, two textbooks, and one monograph.

On behalf of the academic and scientific community of the Georgian Technical University, the Vladimer Chavchanidze Research Institute of Cybernetics, and the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, I express my deepest sorrow over the passing of Professor Teimuraz Tsabadze. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, students, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working with and knowing him. I am confident that Professor Teimuraz Tsabadze’s contribution to science and his remarkable scholarly legacy will forever hold a distinguished place in the history of the Georgian Technical University and Georgian science”.
