CSU/SDSU AI Research – with participation from various universities across the country

From September 21 to October 19, San Diego State University (San Diego State University – SDSU), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, is conducting a country-wide survey of the practice of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the higher education system of Georgia, attitudes towards it, and existing needs in this direction.

Students, academic staff, and administrative and support staff of higher education institutions in Georgia participate in the research.

The attention of the participants must also be focused on the following issues:

  • Information regarding participation in the study should be disseminated as widely as possible through the university’s internal communication channels, with the involvement of faculties, program directors, academic councils, and the student self-government;
  • If a university staff member holds more than one distinct role — for example, serving as both academic and administrative staff — they may complete the questionnaire separately for each role, as the questions tailored to these respective groups differ in content;
  • Respondents should complete the questionnaire in its entirety;
  • Respondents must indicate their status/role at the university in the designated field.

For a more comprehensive and reliable analysis of the university’s results, the study must include a sufficient number of respondents from various target groups.

The study will use the data to analyze current practices, needs, and development directions for using AI in Georgia’s higher education system, as well as for international comparative analysis.
