Winners of the STEM project competition were awarded
The final round of the STEM Project Competition was held at Georgian Technical University. The competition was organized by the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems in cooperation with the STEM Innovators Association.
As in previous years, the competition attracted significant interest, with 54 public schools from across Georgia participating. Student teams presented projects based on modern technologies and innovative solutions, and the 16 highest-scoring teams advanced to the final stage.
According to Professor Taliko Zhvania, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, the finalists showcased a wide range of practical and innovative projects. The presentations covered fields including robotics, artificial intelligence, smart technologies, automation, environmental protection, and modern security systems. Particular attention was given to projects designed to improve environmental sustainability and enhance the safety of border communities through technological innovation.
“The projects presented once again demonstrated the creativity, technical skills, and innovative thinking of our youth. The students showcased not only strong theoretical knowledge but also practical solutions to real-world challenges. The STEM Project Competition aims to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, encourage students to develop research and engineering skills, and inspire greater interest in modern technologies. Competitions such as this help identify future scientists, engineers, and innovators while supporting their professional development. The quality and diversity of the projects clearly demonstrate that Georgia is nurturing a new generation equipped with the knowledge, motivation, and potential to develop innovative solutions to both local and global challenges.”
