Visit of the President of the Asian Academy of Sciences to GTU

Vice-Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Tamar Lominadze met with the President of the Asian Academy of Sciences (AASc, China), Academician Elchin Khalilov, and Academician of the same academy, Tamila Khalilova, who are on a working visit to the university.

The meeting was attended by the directors of the GTU Scientific Research Institute, deputy deans of faculties and invited guests. The parties discussed the possibilities of deepening international cooperation in the field of higher education and science, expanding scientific and academic ties, sharing knowledge and experience, as well as the prospects for developing joint educational and research initiatives.

During the meeting, Professor Tamar Lominadze introduced the guest to the main areas of activity of the Georgian Technical University, its educational and scientific potential, research capabilities and international cooperation experience. Special attention was paid to those scientific and academic areas that are promising in terms of cooperation with international partners and the development of joint research projects.

According to the Vice-Rector of GTU, active involvement in the international academic and scientific space is one of the important priorities for the Georgian Technical University. According to Professor Tamar Lominadze, cooperation with international scientific organizations allows the university to expand its partnership network, promote professional relations between researchers and academic staff, and create new opportunities for international research initiatives.

The parties also discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation between the academic and scientific circles of Georgia and Asian countries, including the possibilities of expanding researcher ties, sharing experience, and implementing joint scientific and educational projects in the future.

According to Professor Tamar Lominadze, the first visit of the President of the Asian Academy of Sciences to the Georgian Technical University is an important opportunity for the parties to better learn about each other’s scientific and academic activities, identify common interests, and determine promising areas of cooperation.
