“Energy-Saving Technologies and Environmental Engineering” – 6th International Seminar at GTU

The 6th International Scientific-Practical Seminar, titled “Energy-Saving Technologies and Environmental Engineering”, was held at the Georgian Technical University. This international scientific event gave researchers and specialists from various countries a chance to share their experience and research findings on pressing issues in energy efficiency, environmental protection, and sustainable engineering development.

The seminar was held in collaboration with the Georgian Technical University and its international partner universities and organizations. The event’s co-founders include Bialystok University of Technology, the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, the Turkish Institute for Economic and Social Research, the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, and the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Professor Zurab Gvishiani, Dean of the Faculty of Construction at the Georgian Technical University, opened the seminar. In his welcoming remarks, he introduced participants the seminar’s objectives and the importance of international scientific cooperation in energy-saving technologies and environmental engineering.

“Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability are among the most significant technological and societal challenges of the modern world. The rational use of energy resources, the mitigation of anthropogenic environmental impacts, and the implementation of innovative engineering solutions require not only high-level research but also close cooperation among scientific and educational institutions across countries. In this context, the international seminar at Georgian Technical University is significant, both for exchanging scientific knowledge and for fostering professional dialogue and new opportunities for collaboration.

Research findings, modern technological approaches, and international experience provide a foundation for developing solutions that will facilitate the efficient use of energy resources, the improvement of engineering systems, and the strengthening of environmental responsibility.”

58 scientific papers were presented at the seminar, with the participation of scientists from 20 countries.

The seminar featured international scientists and researchers from leading educational and scientific institutions in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Armenia. Štěpán Kavan and Žana Redinová delivered presentations from the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at the University of South Bohemia; Maja Bruk and Małgorzata Koral-Kowalczuk from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin; and Samvel Sahakyan, Arestak Sarukhanyan, and Stepan Khachatryan from the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA). Additionally, Hovhannes Tokmanjyan and Vache Tokmanjyan, professors at the Yeghiazarov Institute of Water Problems and Hydraulic Engineering, presented their scientific research.

For reference, the 6th International Scientific-Practical Seminar, “Energy-Saving Technologies and Environmental Engineering”, will span four days.
