“In the modern world, economic development can no longer be examined solely through traditional economic theories and models. Global challenges, technological progress, the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the transition to a green economy, and the transformation of international economic relations require not only an understanding of current realities but also the scientific conceptualization and formulation of new development paradigms. For our country, it is particularly important that, within contemporary economic development processes, Georgia acts not merely as a participant in global changes but as an active contributor to solutions grounded in scientific knowledge, innovation, and a long-term strategic vision. Consequently, the international scientific conference “Global Challenges and the Transformation of Economic Development Models” is especially significant.

We are pleased that the conference brought together over 160 scientists, researchers, and doctoral candidates from various countries, featuring 72 scientific presentations. This scale reaffirms that solving contemporary challenges requires interdisciplinary collaboration, international academic dialogue, and the continuous advancement of science.

For Georgian Technical University, internationalizing science, deepening academic cooperation, and promoting research-based development are top priorities. Through the joint efforts of universities, it is possible to create an intellectual environment in which science plays a role in shaping the future.”
