On behalf of the Georgian Technical University and its Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, Professor Tamar Tsereteli thanked the delegation from the Saarland University of Applied Sciences and Technology, led by Professor Wilhelm Hauser. The Vice-Rector welcomed the conference participants and organizers, wished them a successful and productive session, and highlighted the long-standing partnership between the Georgian Technical University and the Saarland University of Applied Sciences and Technology.

Vice-rector, Professor Tamar Tsereteli, in her speech, focused on the importance of the conference – “Government and Society”. She pointed out that intellectual capital is the university’s main asset, and such high-ranking international platforms offer the best opportunity to analyze modern global challenges from a scientific perspective.

According to Professor Tamar Tsereteli, Georgian Technical University firmly maintains its nationwide leadership, as shown by the volume of international scientific grants and research projects, including those under Horizon Europe, demonstrating that its scientific, engineering, and technological potential fully meets international research standards. She hopes the conference’s work, which is advancing in several directions, will develop new theoretical and practical perspectives in public administration, business technologies, and international relations, and lay the foundation for many more joint academic projects.

“The long-standing, continuous tradition of holding this international conference attests to its relevance and significance within the contemporary scientific landscape. Against the backdrop of globalization and the rapid evolution of business technologies, a comprehensive analysis of public administration and socio-economic challenges necessitates multifaceted, interdisciplinary approaches. In this regard, our German colleagues’ involvement is essential. The participation of a delegation from Saarland University of Applied Sciences not only ensures the forum meets high European academic standards but also establishes an effective mechanism for direct exchange of knowledge and research methodologies between Georgian and German academic circles. This foundation strengthens our shared educational space.”
